Jeannie noticed that the Southern-style tune from a few weeks back featured The Statler Brothers behind Johnny Cash singing "Daddy Sang Bass."
When I was a little girl, hearing "Flowers on the Wall" came quite frequently. Our little country station played it till the vinyl nearly wore off the record.
Eva, I know this song! I think Mom had it on a 45. If not, she had the vinyl album. I listened to it all the time growing up. (But, I couldn't tell you the first time I heard it. I was too young to remember what age I was at the time.) ;) Love the Statler Brothers' music. The Oak Ridge Boys, too. Alycia
Yhanks for sharing this oldie, I have missed the Statlers since they retired. Did you know that Don is into writing now, havent read him yet but plan to check it out. I love to hear gospel singing and groups that blend their voices. Paula O
