Jordynn and Me, c 2005 |
In My Dreams
(c) Eva Marie Everson
...you are happy.
In my dreams ...
... you reach for me, and
In my dreams ...
... I hold you in my arms, close.
Heartbeat to heartbeat.
In my dreams ...
... I hear your laughter.
The light dances in your eyes.
In my dreams ...
... you know how much I love you.
And I know how much you love me.
In my dreams ...
... I can feel your touch.
Smell the scent of your hair.
In my dreams...
... life is beginning again, and
In my dreams ...
... the nightmare is over.
[To all our praying friends: after a long month, and hours of keeping our hands to the plow, Jordynn was located this past Tuesday. She is safe. God is good. We keep moving. I keep dreaming.]
I have this quote on dreaming posted near my writing station -- I think I remember it is by Jonas Salk, but I could be wrong: “I have had dreams and I have had nightmares, but I have conquered my nightmares because of my dreams.” May the day come when any/all the nightmares associated with your journey (or Jordynn's) are swallowed up in the best of dreams come true.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you both dear AWSA sister. May our Lord Jesus heal and restore and bring joy and a great testimony of His work through the pain.
